Our Strategic Governance

TESYA is a group of private companies led by our Parent Company TESYA S.p.A. The Group’s strategic direction and intercompany collaborations and synergies are coordinated by the TESYA S.p.A. Executive Team through 4 central departments – Strategy and Business Development, Finance and Control, Information Technology and Human Resources – in conjunction with the Group’s 28 operating companies: Alayan, Alfraproject.net, CGT, CGT Trucks, CLS, Sitech, STET, Finanzauto, XIBER and the Teknoxgroup subholding of companies.

Our history

1930

In 1934 the company OLMIA in Vercelli, active in the rice-harvesting machinery sector, starts importing and marketing Caterpillars throughout in northern Italy. In 1930 Finanzauto, a company operating in the automotive segment, was founded in Madrid.

1960

1960 OLMIA initially changes its name to IMAI and then to Compagnia Generale Trattori (CGT); in 1965, it relocates its headquarters to Milan.

1961

STET (Soc. Tècnica de Equipamentos e Tractores) is established in Portugal.

1990

Teknoxgroup is established to provide Caterpillar products and services in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Kosovo and subsequently Albania (2010).

1995

Foundation of Noloitalia, a new company dedicated entirely to the rental of Caterpillar compact machines and other brands of equipment for the construction industry, enviromental maintenance and events.

1996

Creation of the TESA Group.

2004

CLS is founded as a spin-off of CGT in Italy, specializing in material handling and logistics solutions.

2010

Following the acquisition of MAIA, CGT expands its coverage to include the entire Italian peninsula and the Republic of Malta. Noloitalia becomes CGT Edilizia and later CGTE (in 2020).

2013

CGT becomes a DAF dealer in 2008 and in 2013 it spins off its dealership business to the newly-founded CGT Trucks, dedicated to the sale and rental of industrial vehicles.

2018

The TESA Group expands its presence in the Iberian Peninsula with the acquisition of Finanzauto and Sitech in Spain and Stet in Portugal

2020

The Group consolidates and interconnects all its companies under a new identity with strong shared values: TESYA.

2021

Finanzauto acquires Energyst, now known as Alayan, an electric equipment rental firm based in Madrid. CGTE acquires GM noleggi, operating in rental services. CLS acquires Alfaproject.net, a specialist in intralogistics optimization.

2022

The TESYA Group acquires CAYMO, a company operating in Spain to support technical assistance in the marine sector, and, through CGTE, the Spanish firm Emerent (an Asturias-based rental company).

2023

The TESYA Group acquires, through CLS, the Belgian company Alax Automation (specialized in automation for various sectors) and founds XIBER, operating in the energy transition sector. In the same year, Zanotti Energy Group, a company specialized in the photovoltaic sector, joins XIBER.

2024

CLS acquires Degrosolutions, a distributor of Mitsubishi forklift trucks for Italy, and iMation, the CLS business unit specializing in logistics automation, becomes Dymation. In October, Spain’s Alquiler Maquinaria Soluciones and Italy’s Strutture, both of which operate in the rental business, join the Group.

2025

Alayan is born, an organization integrating TESYA Group companies operating in the rental services industry. Through Alayan, the TESYA Group acquires the business unit for the rental of aerial platforms, vans and operating machines from G.L. Noleggi e Servizi S.r.l., operating in the Perugia area.
