The TESYA Group announces a strategic agreement with RodRadar, a pioneering technology company in the field of excavation safety and accident prevention for underground public utility infrastructure. RodRadar has developed the patented Live Dig Radar® (LDR) system, an innovative AI-based sensor integrated directly into excavation equipment.
The technology automatically detects and alerts operators in real time to the presence of underground infrastructure during excavation operations, helping to prevent dangerous and costly strikes. Already used in several European countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, as well as in the United States and Australia, this solution will now be introduced in Southeast Europe by the TESYA Group as the exclusive distributor of Live Dig Radar® through its companies CGT (Italy), Alayan (Italy, Spain, and Portugal), Teknoxgroup (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania), STET (Portugal), Finanzauto, and Sitech (Spain). This synergy will enable the Group, leveraging its experience and established market presence, to accelerate the adoption of RodRadar’s cutting-edge safety solution across Europe.
In an environment characterized by increasing urbanization, damage to infrastructure can lead to consequences ranging from minor local service interruptions to major accidents, with significant economic impact. These include the cost of pipe repairs and road restoration, service outages, project downtime, and inconvenience for local residents and businesses. Additional environmental and social impacts may arise from the loss of natural resources, gas leaks, or damage to urban facilities, all of which compromise the safety and quality of life in cities.
“The agreement introduces a new generation of smart solutions to construction sites, capable of raising safety, productivity, and sustainability standards thanks to real-time operational analysis that prevents damage and makes excavation operations more precise and reliable. This represents a real advantage for contractors, whose primary challenge remains downtime and project delays caused by accidents or damage to underground networks. This innovation marks a step forward for the construction sector and represents a tangible contribution to the development of infrastructure projects in Italy, which is committed to completing the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) initiatives and implementing strategic projects, from photovoltaic parks to data centers, over the coming years. In Italy alone, more than €23 billion is expected to be invested in data centers by 2030, resources that will go toward the construction, procurement, and deployment of IT servers for new infrastructure, generating a significant impact on the national economy,” commented Pierre-Nicola Fovini, CEO of TESYA Group.
“RodRadar is driven by a clear mission: to provide operators with an immediate and practical view of what lies beneath the surface during excavation,” said Moshe Dalman, CEO and co-founder of RodRadar. “The partnership with a professional group such as TESYA allows construction companies and excavator operators throughout Italy and Spain to access our Live Dig Radar® systems, helping them to stop digging ‘blind’ and move closer to the goal of making collision-free construction sites a daily reality.”
