Health and Safety
The health and safety of individuals are non-negotiable. For this reason, we've adopted risk assessment and management models and tools that prioritise prevention over just protection, promoting responsible and conscious behaviours to eliminate accidents. We are committed to ensuring the safety of everyone working in or for TESYA, through a common and shared effort contributing to the achievement of business objectives.
Training, as well as all corporate communication, is aimed at encouraging employees to report any hazardous conditions or health risks, particularly for technicians who are more vulnerable to accidents. We ensure that they are fully aware of the role and situation they’re in.
We continue to invest in technology, recently integrating two new security features into the Technician's APP (a tool used for activity management and accounting): the first allows immediate reporting of accidents and hazardous situations directly to the safety office; the second concerns the job-start checklist listing all possible risks that may be encountered on site: once a risk is identified, the app suggests appropriate countermeasures to take.
Not only do we suggest, but we also require our technicians to spend 10 minutes conducting this countermeasure analysis. Over the past 15 years, we have seen a significant reduction in the accident frequency index, stabilising in the last 2-3 years in a low-risk zone. We implement a health protocol covering all roles, designed preventatively by subjecting all employees to medical examinations and eyesight checks. We don't limit ourselves to the minimum mandatory training. Our approach is to provide an extended interpretation of the laws in force in the various countries where we operate to ensure maximum compliance and application of rules in general, reflecting the philosophy that characterises the Group.
