Sustainability is one of the TESYA Group’s founding pillars, propelling it towards an eco-friendly future by putting innovation at its core and investing ethically with clear principles and actions.
Now, TESYA has chosen to strengthen its commitment in this area by joining the UN Global Compact Network Italy. This association’s primary purpose is to contribute to expanding the United Nations Global Compact programme across Italy. The initiative is the biggest sustainable development project in the world, based on ten universal principles relating to respect for human rights, labour, environmental protection and the fight against corruption.
TESYA’s commitment reflects and reinforces the long-term sustainability strategy devised by the Group, which is based on three pillars: protecting the environment, valuing people and communities, and developing an increasingly eco-friendly business.
Founded by the United Nations in 1999, the UN Global Compact is a voluntary initiative to promote the values of long-term sustainability through policy actions, business practices and socially responsible behaviour. It encourages member companies and organisations to share, support and undertake sustainability-related activities in their own spheres of action. To date, there are more than 20,000 member companies worldwide.
The UN Global Compact Network Italia encourages companies to create sustainable frameworks that consider economic, social and environmental aspects. It also promotes a healthy economy through institutional dialogue and the dissemination of knowledge and good practices. The network is committed to advancing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations within the 2030 Agenda.
